Join us on the Denver Glacier for the ultimate Alaska experience at our glacier sled dog camp. TEMSCO Helicopters will take you on an amazing flight over Lynn Canal and the Juneau Icefield. You will land on the Denver Glacier at the Alaska Ice field Expeditions glacier dog camp. Our crew of experienced mushers and 240 happy sled dogs are waiting to take you dogsledding on snow in the summer. Once in camp, you'll experience the musher way of life and meet the true athletes, the dogs, of Alaska's official state sport. After introductions and instruction you are ready for the experience of a lifetime. Relax in the basket of the mushers sled or experience the thrill of driving the tag sled. Plenty of time for photos and a chance to hold the puppies all with the awe inspiring backdrop of the Juneau Ice Field. Excursions include a combined 20-25 minutes of spectacular glacier flightseeing.

This excursion was absolutely amazing. You fly up to a glacier in a helicopter for about 25-30 minutes. The pilot tells you what glacier/mountains you are looking at and explains everything. Then you landed on a glacier and the dogs are right there!! They were...More

The dogs run on a pre-defined path. They have to do this for safety reasons. The snow/glacier has already been checked out in that area. Our 15-year-old was with us and he really enjoyed it.

We had this as part of our 3 week trip to Alaska though Holland America. I think it was $269 per person for us. It was a lot, but well worth it in our opinions. YMMV (You Mileage May Vary)! I suggest you contact them.
