Eat your heart out, DIsney!

Bring the kids!! Sure, it's a bit cheesy (Hey, it's France) but where else can you see a "medieval" joist in the shadow of an actual medieval rampart? You pay to park in the nearby municipal lot on in-season weekends, but it's worth it for the convenience and easy access to the excellent tourist office, the show, and the stunningly beautiful 12th-century Ville Haute. It's a bit of a walk up from the Gare, though there's much to see on the way. Once one of the largest and most prosperous towns in what is now France, Provins (Neither the final "s" or, mostly, the "n" are pronounced.) slept some six hundred years and awoke after WWII to the modern world like some French Rip Van Winkle. It hosts one of the finest medieval fairs every June. Perhaps you'll run into me, as I have a house there.

Crazier than a box of frogs but we loved it
Aug 2019 • Family
We couldn't understand a word of it but we think that made it even better for us. Lots of fun and mayhem. Kids absolutely loved it (3-13 yrs old) as did we. I would even go so far as to say it was the best fun I'd had all holiday and we've also visited Disneyland and Paris. Def worth a visit.

Visually spectacular
Aug 2018 • Family
While it is difficult to follow what is being said at times (despite having reasonable French), little is lost from this seriously impressive visual spectacle. My six- and three-year-olds seriously loved it and they have even less French than me! The dialogue and plot take a back seat to the stunts, acrobatics, horsemanship, jousting and sword fighting. Come and enjoy it, use your imagination to place yourself in some realm in Tolkien’s Middle Earth with orcs and heroic knights, and don’t worry about what is actually being said!

Good entertainment watching animals playinf. The horses are impressive. Few pigs and lots of white birds at the end.

Brilliant mediaeval show
Oct 2017 • Family
This is the second time to this beautiful medieval town and this show which is set in the old ramparts. Its fantasy themed Knight show with orcs and demons and animals aplenty so be prepared its not your traditional knight show but is much better, be prepared for some great acrobatics. We went as a party of 4 adults and children aged 4 and 8 and all loved it and could follow it all despite only knowing rudimentary French. Bravo!

Only worth a visit if you have kids. Disappointing.
Sep 2017 • Friends
I can see that this would be fun for kids, although not very young ones. The 3 or 4 year-old boy in front of us had to be taken out by his grand-mother as he was terrified & in tears! It's a good vs. evil type of show, with some OK humour thrown in. In truth, we 4 adults were really bored. Only visit if you have kids IMHO. To be fair, the team did put a lot of effort into what they were doing. It just did nothing for us.

Provins - a walk back in time
Sep 2017 • Friends
This was a great tourist place. 11th - 12th century town. Some part rebuilt and some part medieval. The live show "La Legende des Chevaliers" was good. Hospitable people. Worth one visit for sure. The Rose shop was expensive. Main souvenir shop and shop near the Show is better for variety of souvenirs.

Great live show, good value

Visited the show while on a day trip to the town of Provins. This is well worth seeing as part of the day out. The show itself is located just outside the main fortified gate very close to Provins tourist information center. Tickets are purchased at a booth on the main road staffed by actors dressed up in medieval costumes which the children loved.
The set is alongside the medieval walls with the covered seating running down the other side, we were lucky enough to get seated right at the front and very close to the action.
The show itself was about 45 minutes of comedy, sword fighting, horse stunts, a catapult, good knights and bad knights and damsels in distress and was great fun if you have ever been to a medieval re-enactment show it was along these lines, it was all in French but was was very easy to follow and is suitable for all ages.

Great Show
Jul 2017 • Family
We visited the lovely medieval town of Provins two weeks ago and I would highly recommend a visit. The La Legende des Chevaliers is not to be missed. The show is in French (and we haven't a word!) but it is easy to follow. The costumes, animals and storyline was great and we really enjoyed it.

Boa tarde....
