We live close to the park so it is special to be able to share it with guests who are visiting from out of town, or with friends from accross the city!

A beautiful, clean beachfront that is easy to get to. A beautiful bike trail runs along it. And benches to just sit and enjoy the view.

This park has trails following the shoreline giving beautiful views across the water to the Olympic Mountains in the distance. The trail leads out to Discovery Point with an abandoned lighthouse which is very photogenic. On our trip we saw seals in the water and...More

We did our annual trek again, but the weather didn't cooperate this time: couldn't see the mountains, the wind was really cold and biting. But we went on, anyway and did the great loop. Already found Indian plum starting to bloom, and even salmon berries....More

Went here for the first time this week. Hiked out to the lighthouse in hopes of capturing a nice sunset picture. The hike was really easy from the South Parking Lot (a bit harder coming back up hill). I did not know the view across...More

Miles of trails and a great view over the water. There's a historical military camp there; lots of blackberries in the summer. Open space as well as trails in the woods.

Yup, lots of parking, but it's a ways to the beach if you are interested in that. Also, right when you get to the beach there is a sign that says NO DOGS, which is a bummer if you have one. However, I have noticed that there... More

Discovery Park is very safe during the day. Lots of people, including kids, walking, jogging, biking, especially on a sunny day. We have never seen "homeless" folks in the park.
