There is a Native American Cultural Center in Discovery Park. In July, there is an amazing Pow Wow in the park near the center. This is a must see if you are in the area. In 2017, it will take place July 14 to 16.

This was my favorite place in Seattle because of the wide open hardly anyone in sight experience I had nearly every time I visited. There are huge fields of blue delphinium among the grasses which make you want to run like a kid...not just jog.

If you want a walk through the Great North West trees and forests mixed with a great view of the Olympic Mountains, and Puget Sound, this is the place to go. There is a three mile walk around the park, and actually you can walk a lot further, in a moderate walk that is stunning and breathtaking. The latter was... More

If you're visiting Seattle and feel a need to stretch your legs on a nice long walk - go to Discovery Park! It's my favorite place to feel like I'm getting away from city life, without actually going too far. It's got myriad walks or hikes, ranging from easy to fairly difficult. You can get a great trail running workout... More
