We took the trolley to this museum on a cold, rainy day. We learned a lot about Seattle history and present day innovations. The highlight was the opera film about the great fire in 1889. I laughed so hard I cried. Our 16 year old was a little bored by the end of the hour or so we spent there,... More

We spent two hours enjoying this museum and could have spent a lot more time. Exhibits, movies, and activities are high quality. It's great for kids and adults. Check out their website but it's basically a combination of Seattle history and maritime history put together. The boats are gorgeous. Our favorite thing was the movie on the Seattle fire. We... This is my favorite museum in Seattle. Many of the exhibits are interactive (computerized) and you can delve as deeply as you want into the history. Some of the exhibits are geared toward children (like the great Seattle fire of 1889), but these are equally interesting to adults. This region has grown so much in the past 40 years, and... More

I would say this place is well worth the 20 dollars and it has so much to see if you like history. It is very well put together unlike other places like it I've been too. A must see for a Seattle trip. Better than pacific science center

We spent two hours at the museum, when unfortunately it was closing time. We were only about half way through the exhibits, many of which, like the story of the Seattle fire, were extremely creative. Lots of interactive exhibits. I had been to the former location and found it pretty boring, but this is a vast improvement , though somewhat... More

The location at Lake Union is beautiful. Lots to see and learn. Especially liked the fire 🔥 exhibit. Melanna was especially helpful.

Gives both an extensive history of Seattle and many exhibits on technological innovation by companies in the Seattle area. Historical exhibits are great. Some of the technology is interesting and some seems to be more of a promotional piece for the companies involved. Easy to take the tram from downtown directly to the Museum.

While if you are not into museums, you may think history and industry will be boring, but this is not! The museum really explains the development of Seattle and the Pacific Northwest in an understandable and enjoyable fashion. We walked around and saw it all within 2 1/2 to 3 hours, but then we tend to walk slowly. Easily accessible... More

I spent about three hours here at the MOHAI and learned quite a lot about Seattle. It's on Lake Union so the surrounding scenery is also a part of the experience. Educational and funny, the best way to learn history. The "Toe" truck greets you and gets the brain working. A special exhibit during my visit "Toys of the '50s,... More

Although the museum is not large, the exhibits and films are fascinating. The history is really well portrayed though a variety of media. The historical photos and films are wonderful. While you are there be sure to walk around outside and see the historical ships and boats.
