Because we had a VRBO nearby we decided to check out Green Lake. It is definitely a nice-sized oasis in the midst of the city. I saw it described as Seattle's version of New York's Central Park. Not exactly except for the fact it is...More

Green Lake is my personal favorite place of Seattle. The green of the surrounding grass, the reflecting sky on the serene lake, the water lilies, it's nearly perfect. I like to walk, rent a paddle boat, eat ice cream, and gawk at roller bladers whenever...More

Greenlake is the best. You get almost 3 miles of track around a beautiful lake which is also swimmable, boatable, canoeable, and the like.

This awesome spot just north of downtown Seattle is great for a relaxing walk or a 5km run around its perimeter. The lake gets busy when it's warm, but find a spot on the grass, or string your hammock between the trees and read your...More

The Emerald City's Green Lake Park is a lovely place to take walk, jog, sail, fish, ride a bike, swim, or have a picnic. The 2.8-mile paved path around the lake accommodates those on foot and on wheels. A boat-rental facility provides simple watercraft to...More

On one of my trips around lake, saw turtles on a little log. I love that after a walk, coffee and/or lunch is a walk away.

A lovely park within the city and a super easy and relaxing 3 mile walk around. Lots of amenities. The only negative is that because it’s small and surrounded by streets, you really never escape the sound of traffic.

We spent several hours walking around the nice lake at this "park within the city". A large variety of locals appeared to be enjoying the park, as we were. Quite an interesting place indeed.

Enjoyable as a single circuit, or multiple laps. Early morning is my favorite time of the day. Runners, cyclist, walkers, etc. you can even mix it up with wind sail or boat rentals. I enjoy the walk with friends, solo, and now with my grandson.
