Capitol Hill is a wonderful, clean and diverse community that I thoroughly enjoyed. Lots of shops, coffee houses and restaurants all within walking distance to each other.

We walked through this area one Monday morning and enjoyed the good vibe here. We were going to see the Jimi Hendrix statue and happened upon a great bar / restaurant Oddfellows Cafe.

Sadly we didn't discover this part of Seattle until our last night in town, but it was worth seeing. While most of Seattle seems to shut down early, Broadway, Pike, and Pine in the Capital Hill region keep hopping till the early hours of the morning. Not sure of the weekday hours but on the weekend most places are open... More

Capitol Hill has a great reputation as a hip neighborhood. The houses are beautiful which makes for good neighborhood walking. Broadway and surrounding streets offers a wide variety of shops and food, particularly ethnic foods. Our favorite place was the Roy Street Coffee shop at the north end of the area.

Capitol Hill is a trendy part of Seattle. It hosts many restaurants, a branch of the Seattle public library, shops and the notable Volunteer Park. It is a mix of houses and apartment buildings, many of them occupied by young people, couples and singles, and has a thriving night life. Its disadvantages are crowding, difficulty in finding a parking spot,... More

Everything you need is close to our apt. We stayed in an AirBNB. Great place. Stairs were hard on my knees but the view, food and people were great to meet. We walked everywhere.

We walked around here just to check out the area. Very nice grocery store where we picked up some breakfast items as we were staying nearby. The Elliott Bay Book Co. book store is worth a stop. Lots of coffee house, ethnic restaurants and quirky shops are in this area too. And, you can find a statue of Jimmy Hendrix... More

It is a 45 minutes walk from the city center to this urban neighborhood of Seattle. I was a bit disappointed, but probably my expectations were somewhat too high. Broadway is the centre of the neighborhood and they most interesting street we have seen, but during the daytime it is a pretty normal street with shops and some restaurants and... More

Walked over on Pine Street. Total snooze. Nothing to see. Up 15th. A little better. Down Broadway - this is where you go. Much more street traffic, better shops. Great coffee and food choices. A surprisingly good grocery store. Worth your time - Broadway, not the rest.
