I spent 3 days at Alpental and the grooming was terrible. The terrain at Alpental is actually really good. Several steep and long run, unusual for this area. And when there is good snow, leaving it ungroomed makes for fun expert terrain... but. The three...More

We packed our backpacks with an inflatable kayak & paddle, wetsuit, fins, mask, water, lunch, and a steri-pen. The hike with all this gear was quite difficult in the heat. I was fairly prepared with fairly good fitness and strength but i was definitely sore....More

Alpental is by far the best choice among the Snoqualmie Pass ski areas for experienced skiers. The bottom half of the mountain has some good intermediate terrain, but the top half has challenging expert terrain as well as some fine back country. When the snow...More

Alpental is a very nice ski area that's within easy reach from Seattle. It's also great for hiking in the summer. The area has many trails around the summit. Hiking late into the fall is an option most years.

This trail is magnificent if you are into hiking. I am a novice hiker and not in the best athletic shape, and I found this hike moderately difficult. I recommend purchasing a back pack style water dispenser for your comfort and hydration needs. During some...More

Great place when the weather is on. It may be part of Summit, but it has a feel of it's own. Great for getting some turns in at night, while taking advantage of little crowds. Weekends can be busy with ski schools, but they tend...More

This is one of the better places to go around the Seattle area. The lodges were very minimal but still a good ski area feel. The lift lines were long, but it was worth it for some fresh pow. If it is a pow day,...More

I am a ski expert, and find this to be a challenging course. I am never disappointed when with the advance with the powder bowl. The back side is the best, but this is definitely not for the beginner. Very nice lift to the top,...More
