The lineup for drinks here is insane. I understand why, but as someone who is not a 'diehard' fan of the brand, I'd choose another nearby option for the same offering. My wife and I had finished our drinks by the time our friends had recieved theirs. It's well worth the visit and photo opportunity, but prepare for a wait.

This is the number 1 tourist destination in all Seattle, I swear. This place will always be packed. I have only been inside once and I have visited pike's place many many times. There is always a ridiculously long lines and it is still just a Starbucks. They sell the same drinks (i think) it's just that it happens to... More

Line was long but Starbucks fanatics won't mind. Purchased my new favorite mug. We went around 8 am on a Sunday and it was not too long of a wait.

I just had to see what the fuss was about. Nice quick stop. They sell mugs and souvenirs that are only available at the Pike Place location so I got a great stocking stuffer for my frappacino loving daughter. Oh, and the original logo has boobs.

Visiting Seattle in December can be cold and rainy but it means NO lines anywhere! We visited Pikes Market and walked right across the street to the original Starbucks. We walked right in and places our order. Friendly and helpful baristas.

I think this is a must do activity if you are in the area and are a fan of Starbucks but overall I think that it is overrated with long queues and a cattle market approach - there is no atmosphere and it just a conveyor belt of people and drinks. I think it was more of the opportunity to... More

Being English, I really didn't get what all the fuss was about - but neither did my Canadian friend. We thought someone REALLY famous was paying a visit, then someone in the queue sheepishly told us that everyone was queuing to get coffee and a photo at the first ever Starbucks. I'm really sorry, but I just don't get it.

Fun place to go. There's always a busker outside the store. There's no pace to sit. You order your coffee to go. They have items that are sold only in this store. Out of towners love coming here.

I do not understand why you have to stand in long ques for a cup of coffee. you create unnecessary varieties resulting in taking too long to serve the customers. After seeing long ques a hype is created that something special is served. Nothing but marketing tactics. one gets cheaper and good coffee nearby places.
