    Oh so gross but neat
I thought this was so cool! It was on my list when we visited Pike Market. I know some people will consider this gross, but it’s an experience. You walk into the alley and all you smell is bubblegum, and it’s all that you can see. Everything from business cards to a Polaroid photos are stuck to the wall with gum. Sadly, we didn’t add to it because I didn’t want my kids touching it, but we took some photos for sure!

    Awesomely gross… just as expected
This alley/wall was just as cool/gross as I pictured it to be. This alley is right off pike place market, so we were in the area anyways. It was a quick stop. This is a busy alley and it was full of wasps. But we were there just long enough for photos.

Gross and Fascinating at the Same Time
This is one of those things that is so weird you have to go, when you do, it actually is worth the visit. Yes, it is disgusting and gross, but at the same time it is strangely artistic and cool. We visited during our tour of the market, but we also visited at night returning home from the Seattle Wheel. My wife would not leave a piece on the wall, but her friend and I did. It was an odd attraction, but you feel you have to see it. Like so much here, uniquely Seattle.

You gotta see if your at pikes place just to say you saw it. Pretty uneventful, just a lot of gum all over the way. Kinda gross but it’s part of the city so we checked it out. Took 2 minutes, picture then done.

    Yuck
Disgusting, gross, icky place that you have to see to believe. Or do yourself a favor and don’t see it. But it’s like a car crash, you have to look. You decide for yourself. For us we wandered upon it, did not seek it out, took a look and got the heck out of there.

You can smell it before you see it...
I was brought to Pike Place Market by my local friends, and as we approached the fish stalls, I noticed the scent of spearmint in the air. For a second I thought someone must've been smoking menthols nearby, but no; it's just an entire wall caked with a thick layer of chewing gum. The odor from thousands upon thousands of pieces of pre-chewed gum was wafting on the wind. I gawked at it for a good minute, in awe at the sheer scale of collective vandalism on display. I had to resist the childish urge to touch it. Definitely one of the more striking landmarks to visit if you ever come to Seattle.

I saw photographs of the Gum Wall for years, and I wanted to see it.
I checked out the free Gum Wall, and I placed my gum on this wall. Yes, this attraction is not sanitary, but it was cool to see. I got a picture of myself as I put my gum on this wall. This attraction is below Pike’s Place Market. People should watch their steps as gum was plentiful on the floor.

A very unusual "attraction" we came upon walking the lower level of Pike market.
A semi dark, smelly alley with disgusting alternative "art". Very unhygienic, don't bother looking for it. I even wonder how it's legal??

Stumbled upon it coming out of Pike Market. You can smell the mint gum! I loved seeing it but it’s not for everyone!!! The whole alley way both sides full of gum!

We weren't looking for this and just stumbled across it.
It was oddly gross yet somehow captivating to see.
I didn't know if I was sickened by seeing this or I enjoyed it.
I am just stunned that this is allowed and hasn't been cleaned off. It definitely wouldn't be allowed in Australia.
I am nit sure how this would of been started and that people continue to this day to add to it. Its slightly gross and smells of off bubble gum but its like watching a train wreck, you cant take your eyes off it.
I had to do the standard photo of looking like you are licking the wall. Some young teenagers thought this was hilarious. Being 50 and not worrying about peoples opinions, I got the shot which was quite good.
I'm still unsure what I thought of it, not sure if I should be repulsed or really like it.
When you see it, you can make up your own mind. You have to experience it when you are in Pikes Market in Seattle.

The most disgusting tourist attraction in Seattle. Its grossness attracts plenty and im sure to the benefit of surrounding coffee shops and restaurants

Amazing what can develop into an "attraction".
A while back a covered carpark walkway in a supermarket carpark near where we live in the UK became a TA "must see".
This probably trumps that but it's not the most attractive of "sights"
But it is sort of unmissable
