Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Both our sons attended University of Washington. It is a beautiful campus, especially during the cherry blossom season, when hundreds of people (visitors and families of students) come to the campus to take pictures. The buildings on campus consist of both older architectural design and more modern ones. The "Harry Potter" library is a must visit.

Off campus is a dirty, graffiti sprayed, dumpy area with abandoned store fronts and huge homeless encampments. What a dump. On campus has a museum which of course was closed leaving zero redeeming qualities for my impression of the University of Washington. But if your into ugly urban and lousy architecture then this is paradise.

My niece is considering the University of Washington. I APPROVE! To show things in their best light, I waited until a clear sunny spring day with the cherry blossoms, Mount Rainier and sunshine bathing the campus in all it's glory! She left IMPRESSED!!!

My family walked through campus this weekend. What a beautiful place! The architecture on the buildings is breathtaking. You feel as if you've walked into a special place. We didn't go in to any buildings, just walked around campus. There weren't many people/students there, holiday weekend or the campus may still be closed. Either way, we were so happy we were able to see this beautiful campus.

UDUB, as it is called locally, is a massive campus near Downtown Seattle. It is very, very easy to get lost here. Suggest visitors take a tour or look at a map. The medical complex is right next door. It is the leading hospital in WA. Wonderful to stroll around.

The campus is closed, but the area is beautiful for a walk to explore. We were unable to find any RR to use in the area and were sent off campus. The view of Mt. was cloudy that day, but would recommend for a clear day for sure.

The campus is beautiful, with the crown jewel being the Suzzallo library and its amazing reading room. You can go in and walk around, get a coffee and enjoy the gorgeous cathedral-like setting. Architecture of the buildings overall is impressive.

We went to Seattle to tour the campus for my daughter. It was winter, so I would love to go back when the cherry blossoms are blooming, but it was a nice campus. There's a great view of Mt. Ranier from the Freshman Pond. We really enjoyed the campus.

We walked around the campus passing the never ending athletic campus and the Husky statue. Purple everywhere. The location is stuning even on a very cloudy day but the area of the campus we visted looked more like a concrete jungle of new sometimes non descript buildings. Obvioulsy we missed the areas that other people have written about here.

If you have some time in Seattle, be sure to spend some time wandering about the UW campus. It is absolutely beautiful. The architecture is magnificent as are the grounds. We were there for a football game and were surprised that the Student Union eateries and bookstore was closed, those are usually open and doing a good business on game day. Nevertheless, check out the beautiful campus.

Where do we find information for High School Senoirs application process for undergraduate acceptance, requirements etc?
Written 17 March 2018
You can probably find everything you need either on the website or check with the counselor at your child's High School who should either have or be able to get all the information you need. Of course you can always call admissions at the UW campus.

I will go to take a walk at UW but where should I park?
Written 9 August 2016
There is free street parking north of campus on 17th Ave NE and NE 50th St. There is a two hour time limit until 8 pm Mon-Sat. If you don't want to walk far, then park in one of the lots near campus. I recommend the University Bookstore lot (between 15th Ave and University Ave near the cross street 42nd). If you visit the bookstore, you can get validation for the time you are shopping.
If you are staying somewhere convenient to the light rail, just walk from the Husky/UW light rail station.

The original Husky Clipper (which was rowed by the Boys of 1936 and won gold in Berlin) hangs in the dining room of Conibear Shellhouse. They have tours there on Fridays and Saturdays to see the regalia of the crew, which are listed on their website, washingtonrowing.

I recommend taking the Lightrail (or "Link") from SeaTac airport to the University of Washington. It is cheap, fast, direct, and drops you off right by Husky Stadium.
