Go just to see the architecture if anything

This building is impressive not only for the amount of books it holds but for the architecture. Take a stroll through and make sure to ride the escalator.

The place is a very modern take on a library. From the outside it looks amazing, reflecting in the sun. Inside, it is a multistorey building. When you get to the top and look down, you may get dizzy! (I did). For sure, it is a useful building for the inhabitants of Seattle. Inside, apart from the view down, it... More

Its a good building to go there and have a great picture, its good place for architectures and its located at downtown Seattle so you can have a little time to go there, check hours to go, but I know it opens on sundays.

We spend a long weekend in Seattle with our 4 year old. After a whole day sightseeing she was super tired and we decided to hang out at the library. Oh my god! It's such an amazing library. It has a very huge kids area, with plenty of books and things to play. It had legos and magna tiles. Plenty... More

As one who lives in Seattle, I have the benefit of actually using the Library. I give it mixed reviews for that - it's a little cold and not a space to hang out in for hours. That was part of the design! This building is so fun to wander through. And, yes, in the process of wandering, there is... More

Great place to visit if you love libraries, love architecture or love books. Each floor has a different design and I recommend taking the elevator to the top and taking your time walking back to the ground floor. Located right in the heart of downtown it is easy to get to.

Interesting architecture by Koolhaas. The content and spaces are fantastic. Outstanding is the child section of the library on the first floor. I take my grandkids there and they want to stay for hours. They have computers for children, lot of educative toys, wonderful assortment of books and DVDs for children and the child furniture and the large room and... More

If you are into modern architecture in city centers, then definitely go to the library. There is an observation area on one of the upper floors that gives you a little stomach dropping wooziness.
