Although the scenes in this area have changed over the past 15-20 years, there is still an enjoyable dingy quality to this area. Gentified store fronts mix with trashy run down stores barely hanging on. UDub is magnicifient though.
The UW is a gorgeous campus and not to be missed. Visit the Fry and Henry museums. The year round farmer’s market on Saturday is excellent.
