Like it says in the title think of this as a ride and less a form of transportation. That being said it’s still fun to fun to ride and reasonably priced. It was built as an “attraction ride” for the Seattle Worlds Fair” and connects...More

We took the monorail to head from the Space Needle to Pikes Market. At $2.50/one way per person to save a 8 minute walk wasn't really worth it to me. It felt like taking the monorail at the Orlando airport.

We took this 10 minute ride into downtown from Seattle center. We just did the round trip ride that I did as a kid. It would be a nice way to get to shopping from Seattle Center.

My downtown Seattle stay was enhanced by a Monorail trip to Seattle Center for the required tourist activities. I checked out the Space Needle, Chihuly Museum and the Armory. It was easy to board at Westlake Center and get a bird’s eye view of downtown...More

But I couldn't find an elevator or escalator and had to hike up several flights of stairs. And then it qas only one stop (about a mile). I think I expected more.

We took the monorail from the station located at the Space Needle . The stop was just one block from the market. It was very fast, very nice view from the city and super convenient to get to the market. The market is just a...More

The Spheres are worth a specific visit, with a great view from the exterior, and free access to the exhibits on the lower level of the building. We did walk there from the Downtown Monorail location in less than 10 minutes... More

Yes - entrance is on second floor of mall. Look up and you will see monorail on East side of mall. There is a separate entrance just for monorail where you can walk up or take elevator or you can enter from mall.
