Nice views of the sound. Great stair run - 200 steps from the lower parking lot to the upper entrance - even has a stair run counter at the top to keep track of how many runs you do.

It's not your typical beach with tons of dry sand and waves crashing on the shores. It's mostly large pieces of driftwood, lots of rocks, and gentle waters. But it's cool and in the morning, it's mystic with the fog covering the trees and lands...More

The 188 stairs makes for a great workout site and a shout out to the park district. They just completed maintenance on the walkway by replacing a number of wooden stairs and cleaning up all the loose dirt and rocks that were spilling out onto...More

We picked up some to go food and came down to the beach for dinner. They have pavilions with tables to eat at as well as bathrooms. Then we walked down to the beach where you can make a fire in the fire pit. Swim...More
