We contacted Century Ballroom to set up a private couples lesson the day we wanted to return for their swing dance event on the weekend. We worked with Mark, who DJ'd the swing night that day, and he helped us get down some basics with several turns and variations to allow for a fun time dancing that evening. The venue... More

This is a fantastic (over 21) venue to try something different without it being a meat market or bar scene. In short, you get a brief group lesson on swing or salsa then they let you start dancing. There is a full bar with some food as well. We went for the first time with several other couples for the... More

Got recommended this place by a local I met on my bus journey up to Seattle. Went on a Sunday for a swing dance night (having never danced before!) You have a 1hr basic group social lesson at the start, almost like speed dating, but practising new steps with each person so you meet a lot of people quickly and... More

If you are visiting Seattle and want a place to dance especially salsa this is a good place to go. A very social crowd for the lone traveller. It is safe and a wide variety of dancers. The restaurant attached has some great food too.

Century ballroom is a place that takes salsa (etc) seriously as a sport. The best thing about this place is the dancers. There are a good number of intermediate to advanced level dancers at the social. Its very convenient to tale a class, get dinner there itself and continue to the social. It has a bar but I have never... More

I went for a tango night and was blown away... This place is utterly gorgeous!!!! The staff were all really friendly and very helpful. As a lone female I was treated respectfully and made to feel safe and welcome. The dancers were lovely and accomplished.... the music was mixed well and the dance floor was a dream. I had the... We love to West Coast Swing, so we showed up on Tuesday night. There was a cover charge and the event was in the smaller ballroom. The larger ballroom was beautiful, and was holding some sort of ballroom dancing event. The parking was tough nearby, so we opted for the community college paid parking. It seemed to be the safest.... More

This place is a real gem and shouldn't be missed if you like to partner dance or listen to some great salsa or swing music. They offer a class before most dances so you can get familiar or smack the dust off your dancing shoes. For less than $10 you can dance the night away be it salsa, swing or... More

I've been dancing salsa for 5 years and have danced at a few different places around the country and the world and this still by far one of the best. It's a beautiful historic space with lots of room to dance and a fairly consistent group of good dancers to dance with on any given night. It's well-used by both... More

Went there on Thursday for the salsa night. Had a $7 cover:( bummer!! But good crowd, lots of people of all levels. Dj plays the salsa music, which was ok. This place is not for bachata lovers. There is a bar and plenty of seating area. The dance floor is big as well. Would go there again when I am... More
