The Showbox at The Market (there is another Showbox, also on 1st Ave. but in SoDo, owned by the same owner) is a must visit for anybody who likes good music at a great Seattle venue. You can hang out in the bar area or...More

Right downtown is this beautiful, 75-year-old theater. Relaxing, come-as-you are atmosphere. Went for the Jurassic 5 show, and, while it was crowded, there was still enough room to move and dance. Some seating is available, as well as reasonably-priced drinks and food.

Went to The Showbox to see Yngwie Malmsteen. For an extra $25 per person, we reserved a VIP table which could be held for us all night, and included a waiter to serve drinks. This was well worth it!! The venue is small enough that...More

The room, as far as seeing a band goes, is top notch. It's dark so can't speak to how clean the place is but the washrooms were clean and plentiful. The bar could serve a better selection of beer. No excuse when there is so...More

The showbox was built in 1939 as a Jazz Dance/ Supper Club. It has gone down hill since. It is now dirty dingy and, there are no seats except in the bar area.

Saw a concert there. Nice sized venue, so you're close enough to the band, but its laid out a little weirdly, so the seating in the back is too low and as soon as the people in front stand up you can't really see much.....More

Love that it's gritty, grimy and old! They feature a variety of acts and if you look on their wall, many famous performers have performed there. It's a small venue (maybe holds 500?) but that's what so great about this place. You can stand right...More
