Sainte Mère Eglise probably wouldn't exist as the bustling centre it is today had the parachutists not been waylaid there, as such, the town strong emphasises this part of its history.

Historic church in the center of town made famous by John Steele getting stuck on the roof on D-Day. Lovely stained glass windows. You must make a stop here to honor the US Army's 82d Airborne Division.

This church is not surprisingly nothing special, although the windows are very nice. But because of the historic impact the building became famous. Paraglider hangs on the tower, but one the wrong side, because to please the tourists.
