William le Conquerant set off from Dives to Britain and the Battle of Hastings. A list of his travelling companions is on the walls of the church.

Origin of the nvasion fleet in 1066, this church has a memorial list of companions. It has been knocked about a lot since then but retains some medieval features such as a lepers hole.

At the end of the village. The church of our Lady dates back to the 11th century. It was enlarged in the Gothic era. It has a nice stained glass window. Free parking just outside of village.

From the main road near the Hyper U we saw a glimpse of old buildings and a narrow street - not immediately noticeable. There is a large car park facing the main road, this leads you over to the tourist office and an amazing courtyard...More
