Wonderful trail with great views

Wow, this has to be one of my favorite biking trails in all of North America; simply beautiful! Just be careful not to run into any moose as I almost did on a couple occasions.

Anchorage has had some growing pains and the sidewalks in winter are down right dangerous. City planning for parks and trails has always seemed to be an afterthought with exception to the Tony Knowles coastal trail. This peaceful trail starts downtown and runs all the way to Kincaid park. You can even take an offshoot and go to the University... More

We live on the Trail and see people walking and riding their bikes everyday of the year. It's a beautiful and friendly place on the Bliff side. Women from all over town come here to walk as they feel so safe they say. My husband loves to talk to the people and they stop by as they go by.

Love the trails for good family fun! Pack some sandwiches and water bottles and go explore the miles of trails through beautiful scenery. Bring your camera in case you see a moose!

watch for moose and observe safety guidelines. There are several ways to go, so get a map. Watch the planes come into the airport, get out your bike or rollerblades, take the kids and cameras.

Seriously, do not take this trail alone at night. Even with two people I wouldn't want to go here at night. It's a dangerous trail with lots of places to hide at night, it's secluded in places with no lighting, and crimes have happened here in the past. Be careful! In spite of the above, it's a great trail to... More

This is a must do Anc To Do item. Hike, bike, Run, ski, site see, wildlife viewing, Mtn Volcano's (4) and Fire Island viewing this has it all. Just make sure to take Bear Spray for protection of moose, bears, dogs or others ;)

Just outside of main downtown Alaska, you will feel like you hiked into the sparse woods in no time! Walk or Bike, depending on your visit but give yourself plenty of time to rest and do a extended part of the trail to take in all the wildlife, and go early in day. Just beautiful and a good place to... More
