Absolutely Breathtaking!!!

Beautiful views! Although we didn't catch any fish, we saw sea otters, seals, and bald eagles in the inlet!

We watched the Bore Tide on the Turnagain Arm from Beluga Point and Bird Point Wayside. This is well worth the short trip from Anchorage. You can catch it at Beluga Point and then Drive to Bird Point Wayside to catch it again. It was great to watch the surfers on the Bore Tide at Bird Point Wayside.

We found the history of the Alaska coast so interesting. Saw evidence of Captain Cook from Victoria BC north along the coast to Anchorage.

Gorgeous drive along the seaward highway along cook inlet was gorgeous. We kept looking at each other and saying, we have never seen a place like this before. You can't avoid this drive if headed to Homer or Seward but worth the extra trip if those destinations are not on your list.

Alaska is very beautiful, at the right time of the year, if the weather cooperates. The view looking out over the Cook inlet is gorgeous...!

We walked the Tony Knowles Coastal trail from 5th Avenue to Lakefront hotel. Beautiful view of mountains and Cook inlet. Took us 2 hours to get the hotel. We almost lost as there is not clear sign to main street from the trail but at the end we found it way. Only recommend for a long way if it is... More

I enjoyed a beautiful sunset on Cook Inlet. Just one block from the street from Captain Cook Hotel. There is an extensive hiking/biking trail.

We took the tour and were very happy. The best part for us was the animal conservatory. Our guide Chloe, knew all of the animals names and stories. Chloe did a good job of spotting whales, bald eagles and other wild life on the drive. She even gave us local color for Anchorage. I would recommend you take the tour.
