Today we had a private event at the zoo and once again I was wowed by the awesomeness! If you want the feeling of a big zoo without all the walking this is where you want to go! Bring your kids and the Grandparents and...More

This is a small zoo but it was perfect for the amount of time we were looking to spend there. Staff is friendly. A few of the animals were a little skinnier than what we’re used to seeing.

This is a small zoo but small can be fun. When we walked towards the animal exhibits, they ran to greet us. Talked and interacted with us - was a unique experience not available at larger zoos. A hidden gem.

Small zoo on Lake Springfield. Gift shop, picnic tables inside and out, well maintained, peacocks running wild, lots of exhibits.

We visited today with 3 kids under 6. It was perfect for them - small enough we didn’t need a stroller. Highlight was probably feeding at the pond - lots of fish, turtles, and ducks. Goats were fun to feed, and our kids liked walking...More

Very small. You are basically paying to take a walk in a circle. My kids were bored after 30 minutes.

If you want to spend an hour or two visit the zoo. The weather still was a bit too chilly so not all the animals were out but it was a nice way to visit some animals and the price was very reasonable

This is a very small zoo but worth the time spent. It is the kind of place that you can take your time and explore without crowds or lines. I would suggest a couple of hours at least here. Check online for special events.

As far as I know you can bring things in. There is also a playground and picnic area across the street.

I believe it's around $5 or $10/person and kids are free. You can buy a year-long membership for $35/person or $60/family and that allows you unlimited visits at no additional cost for the duration of your membership.
