Overview
More
Named in 2012 as one of National Geographic's “25 Wonders of the World," Blue Lagoon has evolved from its infancy as a reservoir of geothermal runoff into a world of geothermal wonder. The unique properties of its waters provide not only an enchanting lagoon experience, but also the patented, active ingredients in Blue Lagoon skin care: silica, algae, and minerals. Blue Lagoon is located in a sprawling, 800 year old lava field in the heart of the Reykjanes Peninsula – a UNESCO Geopark. Just 20 minutes from Keflavík International Airport and 50 minutes from Reykjavík, Blue Lagoon is simultaneously remote and easily accessible.

It was cold, windy, sleeting but I made myself go into the lagoon. A great experience. Even my husband was finally talked in to it. If you are in Iceland a swim in a geothermal pool is a must.

Blue Lagoon has been recently undergoing some construction, but it already offers so much that I can't imagine what they're adding to bolster the facility/hot spring. The lagoon is a definitely a must on any Iceland adventure. The water is fantastic, healthy, and refreshing. The...More

We weren't sure if we should skip Blue Lagoon or not. People who had been recently to Iceland said that it should be a must! So we booked and went. Obviously it's overly priced since it's a big tourist attraction. But the actual water was...More

Visited the Blue Lagoon on Monday night, how disappointing was that. The place was packed with people, struggled to get a locker, floors were really wet and dirty, would have overlooked this if the pool had been lovely but this was a disappointment, it was...More

Very relaxing with water temps ranging from 98- 105* F. It's like a wellness center. Very expensive for food and drinks. Just keeping one bag and renting 3 towels was about $20. Overall I would say you have to try once in your life. But...More

Good customers service, plenty of space to chill and relax. Best to go in summer as it would be warmer. Is a must try in Iceland.
