This day trip to the Golden Circle from Reykjavik is a stress-free way to see some of Iceland’s most beautiful attractions. Don’t worry about mapping out an itinerary: Let your guide and driver take you to Kerid crater, the Blue Lagoon, Gullfoss waterfall, and more. Plus, your guide explains local history and geology that you wouldn’t learn traveling on your own.

We were with them in the Katla Ice Cave and was amazing, we enjoy it a lot and we was so happy than we repeated again with a Glacier Experience and it was perfect too. If we have to recommend Fjallhalla Adventurers, we love them because the comunication with them was really nice too.

Hekla hike Excellent hike, including the perfect weather. Booking with Fjallhalla Adventures is an assurance of a great and safe time in the mountains. I have done other hikes with the company and they always know when it’s the best time to go, which talks about the experience that they have. Also Erla the owner is super nice and she always makes sure you not only have a great time in the adventures but also doing some extra activities in the area, like local food, historical landmarks or concerts. It was convenient that I was allowed to meet the group at Landvegamót since I was staying nearby in the town Selfoss but a transport from Reykjavik was available and everything was very fair priced. Erla is the one who arranged everything (perfectly I might add) but our guides Hermann & Karolina were amazing through the whole trip. The hike up this active volcano went very smoothly, I learned a lot, felt together with the group and had fun the whole time! I really recommend this (eco) tour agency!

Now then, this is a strange review as I never actually went on one of their tours but bare with me. I had a lot of email exchanges with Erla (the MD) as I struggled to find the right tour on the right dates and with the right budget. We simply couldn’t make it work but, and this is key, the unbiased guidance and advice from Erla meant I was able to make other arrangements nearer to where we were staying. There was no self interest; attempt to shape the direction of travel (pun intended) toward an associate or to hoodwink me into making the wrong decision for me. Erla was all about giving me the right advice so I could get the most from Iceland. I found that refreshing and on that basis, and that basis alone, I wanted to set out my gratitude here. Read my other reviews if you want to get a sense of my values. I just hope I’ll get the chance to use Fjallhalla in the future.
