Once the sun pops out, you will be able to see a rainbow in this waterfall. You can walk behind this waterfall which is pretty cool!

This was one of my favourite waterfalls in Iceland. Good parking and stair cases leading to the top of the waterfall. Good decked viewing areas. Could go for a nice hike up past the waterfall but we didn't have time. Found easily from route 1....More

You'd think the waterfalls in Iceland would get boring at some point, BUT THEY NEVER DO! This waterfall was another treasure. We did not walk above it, but we enjoyed the views from the bottom and took some amazing photos here. The bird life in...More

Visited the waterfall whilst touring Iceland. A spectacular sight as you approach it and the noise gets louder as you get nearer. Fred parking in the large carpark.

This waterfall is very impressive from the bottom, but definitely climb stairs to see the view above. Once up at the top you can continue walking along a trail to see more impressive waterfalls and views. It depends how much time you have but allow...More

This was our favorite waterfall. You can take the steps to the top for more pictures or hiking (it's a lot of steps if you're not in decent shape or older) but you can take your time and people will just walk around you. Definitely...More

By far, the best waterfall experience in Iceland. Well worth the hike to the top (500+ steps). Once up there, the observation post is great, but make sure to go through the gates and explore the river and many falls/rapids up the river. We spent...More

In a country of amazing waterfalls this one is impressive. Well worth visiting especially on a fine day when the sun creates rainbows in the waterspray. However it is just as impressive in the rain. We also had a very comfortable night in the adjacent...More

While the view at the base of the waterfall is impressive, the highlight for me was the hike up the steps to the top and following the trail along the feeder river upstream. Beautiful! Be sure to do it.

Not sure if there is electricity availble to use - there is a modern cafe nearby and, within the camping ground a hut for facilities (showers and toilets) which may have shaver outlets. If you spoke to the folk in the cafe... More
