Lots of green space and masses of squirrels. This is a Harvard hangout with parking around the edge and a road right around it- it’s more of a park than common. Nice place to chill out if you’re visiting the University across the road.
Great quiet park near Harvard Square. History of the revolution is on every side of you.
Several monuments including one marking where Washington assumed command of the Continental army it can be very relaxing, but not as good as nearby JFK park.

Nice casual eatery with a wide selection os American and European beers. The menu was very diverse and the service was super attentive without being overbearing. I would make every effort . to return here in any future trips to Cambridge!

The common has a lot of history from the Revolution on.The park is now a public park with a playground and a couple of memorials - The Civil War Memorial and the Irish Famine Memorial.
