We were lucky enough to find the Synagogue just opening and the lady who had the keys was kind enough to offer us a tour and history of the Synagogue and the Jewish community in Trani for a small donation to the building.
We were much interested to visit the medieval jewish community, one of the rare in Apulia, but the synagogue was closed between 12 and 15. The people there could accomodate to tourists' needs if they want tourism in their town.
