We arrived here thinking we were @ the LBJ State Park. The very nice ranger inside told us where we wanted to go. That said, the grounds here were immaculate, the people who worked here were more than nice, and I found a great wildflower...More

Visited on the 4th of July. Not as busy as we expected them to be. Lots of information from the park service and the grounds are very well maintained. Good reminder of LBJ history and good information for our teens.

Interesting, enjoyable and informative. It costs a few dollars to tour the Johnson home, and it is well worth it. Don't miss the cars in the old tool shop.

Was nice to realize that our visit coincided with the anniversary (1964) of when U.S. President Lyndon B. Johnson signed into law the historic Civil Rights Act. It was for things like this why we went off the beaten path to visit where he grew...More

We took a side trip here and are glad we did. The ranch is beautiful and I can see why LBJ loved it so much. It's a nice trip through history, and the house has been restored to look exactly as it did when LBJ...More

We were near Johnson city so we stopped at the Johnson national historic center. This is a huge place considering it's in a small Texas town. It has President Johnson's childhood home and interesting displays about his life. You need several hours to see the...More

National Park Service has done well restoring and opening up LBJ's ranch and history of his time. Definitely worth the drive from Austin or San Antonio, especially if your a fan of US presidents or '60 history. Voluntary guides need a bit more training in...More

Having read books by Robert Caro on Johnson, I was keen to visit "The Ranch". I found the staff at the National Park very knowledgeable and friendly. The place was quite tranquil. The house itself was spotless & bright. I really enjoyed my visit.

There is no charge to visit the ranch; it is a self guided tour with a map of the different sites (I detailed them in my review). The only charge is if you decide to visit the interior of the Texas White house; it is a... More
