Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

An absolutely lovely part of my favorite destination: Sicily!
The people are wonderful. The cost of living is less than America. It is not a hub of tourists, which makes this place all the nicer. The weather is perfect. Go in the fall or spring if you can and experiment! You won’t regret it. Don’t pretend that you are in America. If you cannot adjust stay home.

Nice sandy beach. Is crowded in the summer but arriving early around 9 has more than sufficient parking places. Enough bars around for a quick ice cream or drink

I will never go back to Castellamare del golfo in Sicily for a holiday because of the loud live music blaring across the bay until two (or apparently sometimes later) in the morning. It seems incredible that one bar/restaurant can hijack the holidays of so many people who literally cannot do anything about the noise. It would be acceptable until 11 - but going on into the early hours of the morning ruined my holiday in an otherwise beautiful, quiet and tranquil place.

Nice spot for anyone near by in the hotels. Shuttles to/from the hotel are 3 min walk. Fair restaurant just behind the beach area. Nice, clean and friendly staff.
We were here for 5 days. Our first trip to this beach it was a tad windy and my picture shows waves and sediment on the beach (plus muddy waters). Our second trip 2 days later was far superior. The beach is private, €10 rental for a chair was fair enough. We spent some 4+ hours each day trip, never hassled for more €.

Castellamare di Stabia is a sea front town with great connections to Naples, Pompei, Sorrento and Salerno. It sadly fails to fully capitalise on its sea front location and rich history. The beach appears to be black pumice grit, there are few seafront bars, those that are present seat their diners in the middle of the road. The town is a confusing network of inter-twining roads, driving them is a real nightmare since the locals observe no rules, its every man for himself. Parking is virtually impossible.
On the plus side, there is a cable car ride to the top of Mount Faito providing awesome views of the bay of Naples and Vesuvius. If your in town you must visit the two Archeological sites comprising of two well preserved Roman Villas that were abandoned following the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. Entry is free too.

Family of 4 plus 2 grandparents, one with mobility issues. Uses wheelchair but can do a few stairs and some walking with crutches.
This beach is reasonably accessible and has a gentle slope into the water. Calm, safe sea. There is plenty of public beach available if you have your own umbrellas etc but we used one of the lidos (lido pirata) because it had a disabled toilet and a plastic walkway down the sand to the sea.
This is a very authentic Italian beach, especially on a Sunday, lots of people, families, noise, kids, ice creams, eurotrash music. Great if you like that type of beach.
For our requirements it was perfect.

Preferable to nearby Giudaloca for its sandy shore. Plenty of space for people who don't want to use the ombrelloni and lettini. As there was a bit of a swell the day we were here, there were actual waves to do a bit of body surfing.

Recently stayed in this quaint resort where the people were friendly and helpful.
Atmospheric location with lovely harbour offering a variety of boat trips. The town centre had a small selection of individual shops both these areas had numerous restaurants and bars. The area had many view points. The harbour was level but there were steps up to the town. The castle museum, churches and small park added to the ambiance. Good mini bus trips available but can be limited after mid September. A great find!

Saludos
Ignacio

Sorry for the late reply! Castellammare del Golfo is a beautiful town with a nice beach - cleaned up during the season. Whole Sicily has a problem with rubbish. That's a pity. Otherwise its great. I can recommend the Hotel La Piazetta and the restaurant Egesta ... almost next door. Sorry again for replying late. Norbert

volevo sapere se da Castellammare la spaiggia è raggiungibile a piedi e/o se è presente un servizio autobus di collegamento
grazie a chi mi vorrà rispondere
Si può scendere sia a piedi che con l’autobus.
