We went on a Saturday evening about 5:30 pm. It took about 30 minutes to find parking. Our purpose was to dine, and the waiting lines were long so we walked the streets and stopped in a dozen or so stores. Some were well organized, orderly and clean, while others were dusty, which hampered normal breathing. Go again? Not on... More

This part of town is filled with neat unique little shops and restaurants. A favorite break in our day there is always at Greek on Cary, a tiny little Greek place that has wonderful food. An appetizer here is just enough to fuel us for another few hours of boutique shopping. The down side is parking is miserable and sometimes... More

I frequent Carytown as it was a place i pretty much grew up down the street from. It has changed so much over the years, but has never lost heart! Plenty of places for food, and other local shops. Carytown has everything you need! Parking can be tricky, if your not a parallel parker, they have some garages for you.... More

We visited Carytown 3 times during our visit to Richmond!!! There are lots of good restaurants and interesting shops here! I really loved all the vintage stores. I bought a couple of vintage jewelry and purse. The prices were reasonable. My teenage son enjoyed the antique stores with the metal armor knights. The cookie store was also a big hit!!!!

Carytown is absolutely one of my favorite things about Richmond. There are so many choices for restaurants and shopping. All so unique and different. It is hip and stylish. If you like vintage, its there, it you like modern, its there. IF you need a bike or a skateboard, its there. Or how about a movie, for just a few... More

Scenic vistas, good eats, great bars, hosts to many of RVA's events, and festivals. Serves as a good feeling of RVA's youthful vibrant spirit

This street houses take-out and sit-down restaurants of Korean, Greek, Thai, and American. The shops display high priced art work and crafts as well as home decor. A nice street to window shop when the weather is nice.
