Nicole was a fantastic tour guide and we hit places we have never been before but always wanted to try. This tour is totally worth the money and a true fun way to taste a bunch of places in a few hours.

We recently did the Both Sides of Broad tour. Was so much fun. It included Jackson Ward and Monroe Ward and provided an insight to both areas of Richmond. I have lived in the area for 14 yrs but never been to either of these areas. Very enjoyable. Food was fantastic and guide was excellent. We were with another couple... More

I took my husband and 92 year old father on the Both Sides of Broad food tour yesterday. It was perfect weather for a day on the town. We toured off the beaten path places in Jackson Ward and Monroe Ward and sampled an incredible array of foods. We were give doggie bags at Kohlmans which will provide treats in... More

There are so many wonderful neighborhoods in Richmond. We drove up from Williamsburg to see the city and do a foodie tour. This one is very good. We got into half a dozen quirky restaurants and bakeries. One was in an old theater. Our tour guides Jess and Brian were locals who were fun and knowledgeable about the Churchill area.... More

This two and a half hour tour involved a small group and pleasant walk through the Church Hill neighborhood. Six eateries provided generous samples of their food- everything from a floral pork dog to an elevated shrimp and grits to Turkish sweet and savory pastries. Brian and Jess were young, spirited and knowledgeable guides whose combined commentary covered the Richmond... More

We spent a very pleasant Saturday a.m. for our tour. A nice variety of food. Simple but tasty and a nice variety. The venues we visited were very accommodating for our large group. If we had any negatives comments it may be that the group was a bit large for some of the smaller places. But overall very nice and... More

Thanks so much for coming along on the Church Hill tour and for your comments. Yes, the Church Hill tour is popular for good reasons, which can make it tight on a busy Saturday morning in some of the spots. Usually we keep our groups to about 14 and most tours run 2-4:30. Hope to see you on one of... More

I just returned from the Church Hill food tour completed on a hot day in August. The tour was delightful, a smaller group than usual because of the heat. There was a variety of food stops and we had more than enough food - actually, a nap break would have been nice! Our guide and guide "trainee" were informative as... More

It probably would have been good if we had not been so rushed. We met with the host and was given a little history then walked on to a restaurant. Leaving I though we were walking brisk and some of the group were a little behind, then she was telling interesting facts about the area to the group that was... More

I'm sorry you felt rushed on this tour. It was challenging to keep this group together. We heard from other Mini Cooper travelers on the tour that they enjoyed the experience very much. It certainly was a warm July evening, so we were all sweating! As I was the guide on this tour, I can assure you the guide was... More

Overall the food was good but not as varied as hoped. Most items were appetizers or bar food. The tour guide was rushed and some of our group had trouble keeping up. Beverages, if wanted, had to be purchased at all but one stop. Not sure if this was a good sampling of what Richmond has to offer.

Sorry to hear the tour didn't meet your expectations in terms of menu and the pace. Sunday evening tours limit the spots we can go to, as some spots are not open then. We always try to showcase the variety and depth of Richmond's cuisine scene no matter the neighborhood. Hope you can return to Richmond another time and explore... More

We took the Shockoe Bottom Food Tour and found several new to us restaurants that we will go back to in the future. We've lived in Richmond for over 35 years and were pleasantly surprised at the growth in this area. The tour was fun and the food was delicious and plentiful! We've done food tours in cities all over... More
