Beautiful grounds and beautiful buildings surrounding the square. The Capitol was really one of the most attractive ones I've been in (out of 45 and counting). To be at the spot where Robert E Lee was given his commission, where Aaron Burr was tried, and...More

We walked all around the Capital Square Park. It is peaceful and beautiful. A great way to combine exercise with history. The surrounding buildings are awesome and the park is beautiful.

Capitol Square is beautiful, especially on a Spring day. The flowers are usually gorgeous and the squirrels are friendly. There are benches where you can sit and have lunch or just relax and enjoy the scenery.

Even in the winter it is a beautiful park to walk around. A few of the fountains were running. The statues are just beautiful. Must do when you visit the Capitol. Parking is a bit tight in this area, but worth a few block walk.

Enjoy the bit of heaven in the city surrounded by big trees, statues, and a gorgeous capital designed by Thomas Jefferson. Tours in the building are a must.
