One of the best public courses that I have played. It is kept in good condition and just challenging enough..

I have been playing Belmont Golf Course for over 30 years. I don't know what happened but the course is in the worst condition I have ever seen.It is like the county pulled all funding,so there is no maintenance being done to the course. The front nine was a mess. The tee boxes had not been mover or fixed up in many days. They have removed the vending machines at the turn and there was no working water fountain either. You wouldn't believe the US Open was once played at this course. Please work on keeping this place a great place to play my favorite game.

I forgot how humid Richmond can be after a rain, but none the less the rain stopped long enough for the wedding to take place outside on the patio overlooking the course. Very lovely looking fairways and greens. I the inside was very roomy, I think the Brides family was expecting more than what showed as we brought back a lot of food. If the I'm ever in the area and have my clubs I may try to get my in a round.

We were in Richmond visiting family and I brought my clubs. I went to Belmont on a Tuesday morning and asked if they could fit in a senior. They put me with a three-some and off we went. Belmont was at one time a private country club but is now owned and operated by Henrico County Recreation Services. The course is interesting and moderately challenging. Each hole has it's own character and the course is in great shape. After playing the front nine, there is a snack shop just off the ninth green and just before you go under the road to the back nine. My threesome left me after only nine, so I played the back nine as a single. Three foursomes let me play through, a sign of real courtesy, something you don't always find on municipal courses. As a senior, I payed $37 including cart. I enjoy this course and would play here again.
