Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Each wine served in a different glass and put in front of the bottle so you can smell and tast it back and compare which is really helpful :) Also the girl who was helping us gave really good and interesting information, great service! Really great wines, amazing desert wine and unbelievable good olive oil!!

We visited here for an hour or so. Sofie (the host) was very friendly and informative - allowing us to try about 6 wines white, red and sweet. All were great in our view and while there was no pressure at all to buy, we decided to do just that - the prices seemed quite reasonable compared to others we've seen too. The nice little building where the tasting is done is not the most obvious to find but fortunately Sofie found us and directed us to it ! Highly recommended.

A very friendly and enjoyable tasting. We found good wines with attractive price tag, however we lacked a typical or memorable bottle.

Thank you for your review Pascal!
I am happy you found a good quality/price ratio in our wines. Producing good wines at attractive prices is our main goal.
We will work for making you find memorable bottles at your next visit!
Kind regards,
Antonio.

After writing my first review some of years ago, I were here couple of times.
And must say, this winery and specially the host Antonio make this place very special for me.
First, it is far the best wine tasting I ever had and believe me, I had them a lot.
Wines are very nice, some of them won some prizes, especially Riserva del Conte, but Chainti Superiore is also very good.
What make this tasting so unique is Antonio, the host. Very nice person, leading the rules of tasting like it must be. And believe me, I was in some fancy paying wineries, with very expensive wines and did not get such a personal and profesional attitude like Antonio did.
So every time I will be in Tuscany, I will visit Antonio, to taste, to drink, to buy, but first of all to have a friendly conversation with the rare person.
Thank you Antonio, see you next year!!!

A lot of cyclist mostly Germans, tend to stay here. This is a no frills, casual, inexpensive pensione. There is a vineyard attached to this property and wines are very good. The owner is a very nice man that happens to be an old line Italian count and had turned the old family Villa into a hotel.

This wine tasting and wine producer was recomended to us by our Marina from Ill Torrino villa, where we were accomodated.
The wines were simply perfect, the host simply fabulous!!!! Prices fit, the quality outstanding. Tasting went according rules, we get perfect explanations of all wines we tried. This were the best wines tasting so far in Tuscany we did. Vino Santo is very special, really something very unique. Also olive oil produced by him is outstanding.
We also were in Villa Pillo - another famous wine producer in this region, but nothing special.
The room is small, you can also sit outside. The host also has horse shelter in which he was carrying about 63 horses.

Overall, the tasting as well as friendly talk with host made our afternoon unforgetable. And every time we open a new bottle of Villa Filicaja we remember these perfect moments.
