It is steep and there are not many wow items to see, but if you care for history, this is one a the few reamaining inhabited villages close to the border between Portugal and Spain which were part of the defensive system in late middle ages; most houses are tipically of granit!

This ancient place is like you are entering the past with a very well preserved environment from the middle age. Houses, castle, "pelourinho" is everything about the past.

This was a lovely little village to visit, we started out near the castle and walked all around. The stone build houses are well preserved and great for taking photographs. It is however a shame that the street illumination placed in 1996 still isn't working today!

No tourist rubbish, in fact we were the only four foreigners in town that night. I'm sure there must be much more to explore than... More
