During our time in Woodstock VT, we both hiked and snowshoed up Mt Tom...it was fun and exhilarating! Nice views...just be careful on the sharp turns.

My family and I strapped on our snowshoes and hiked to the summit of Mount Tom via the Faulkner Trail. We hiked right as the most recent storm was starting to roll through, which made for perfect snowshoe conditions! Despite the weather, the trail was...More

Cross-country skied this national park on Mount Tom. Trails are groomed and maintained by the Woodstock Nordic Center. Views are gorgeous. Powder was beautiful. There are lots of different trails in the woods.

Large maintained "woods" with miles of hiking trails. Some for horses. Lots of history. Can get a map of the trails. From town expect a very steep accent to the top of Mount Tom. But fear not, there are many places to access the trails,...More

Hiked Mt. Tom this past weekend in an early Noreaster snow fall (about 2 inches). Extremely well maintained trail, low-effort with the many switch-backs. I great (no-cost!) way to see Woodstock!

A nice easy hike up -- beautiful setting and views. There's a challenging way down that we took. It's pretty steep, but it was very pretty. Round trip was about 2 hours for us. Very nice outing.

It was a lovely hike in the woods, but we couldn't find a map anywhere, our GPSs on our phones didn't show anything, and it was never obvious where we were going. We eventually drove to Faulkner park and hiked up from there, when we...More

For small effort you have tremendous views. It starts on a walkway and it ultimately becomes a well maintained trail. Just go do it!

The National Park says it has over 20 miles of trails. I’m not sure if that includes the trails on the village park. Both were wonderfully well-maintained. We entered from the Billings Farm side next to the mansion. There is a forest center building with...More

Excellent hiking... use the Faulkner trail, if you can. It's a bit more challenging, but the trail, and the views are lovely.

It is an easy hike from the parking lot off Prosper Road. Not too much elevation and what there is is gradual. The view is worth it!

It's doable on one of the trails, but not all of them. I can't recall the name of the trail we ascended on, it was much safer than the one we descended on.
