Located in the heart of the downtown, Underground Atlanta is one of the city’s favorite attractions and a cultural hub. Opened in 1969 as a “city beneath the streets,” Underground Atlanta still exhibits many of the significant architectural features from its original structure. Visitors can pick up a self-guided History tour brochure at the information booth and discover the history firsthand. Explore six city blocks, 12 acres and three levels of 225,000 square feet of shopping, restaurants and entertainment at Underground Atlanta, a destination with more than 100 years of history.

Was in a bad neighborhood for starters. There was a footlocker there but I'd be afraid to buy anything as it may be gone before you made it home. We were there on a weekday afternoon before a Braves game so there was a mixed...More

My family was excited to go to the Underground thinking it had many interesting shops and restaurants. Unfortunately, our whole tour took about 30 minutes as most businesses are closed. The few remaining shops cater to an urban crowd. The food court looked ok but...More

Very few shops still open, nearly a ghost town. Was extremely disappointed with the Underground and all of the hoopla that is built-up, of which it is not.
