Margaret Mitchell's one and only novel, "Gone with the Wind," was born in an apartment in this turn-of-the-century Tudor Revival mansion. Now a museum on the National Register of Historic Places, the house offers visitors a tour that tells the story of the author, the Pulitzer Prize-winning book and the making of the movie.

Our tour guide was hilarious and really entertaining. The museum wasn't what I expected but it was really educational and it was hard to not buy a bunch of souvenirs. I would highly recommend this to any Gone With The Wind fan.

What a surprise to find this treasure! Imagine sitting in the room where she wrote! Tour guide very instructive with the right amount of information to make it interesting and NOT boring. Fascinating! The after tour sequence of movies was nostalgic.
