This extraordinary zoo, one of the oldest in the U.S., underwent a multi-million dollar renovation in the 1980s and is still expanding. Its landscaping replicates the natural habitats of the numerous animals, some of which are endangered species. Four panda bears from China delight the crowds, and groups of gorillas separated by moats do their own share of entertaining.

It is a pretty good zoo with many animals to see. Famous panda though was the only one at the time of visit, and it was busy struggling to get inside the room. It seemed like it was completely ignored by staff

We were really pleased with the time we spent at the Zoo. They have a very well planned series of animal feedings accompanied by an informative talk. We especially enjoyed the highland gorillas and don't miss the bird of prey demonstration. Very impressive! And of course it is a delight to enjoy seeing pandas!

Definitely good family time and a good opportunity to introduce the little ones to animals that aren't your daily horses and cows. We loved watching the monkeys and feeding the giraffes. My daughter wanted to watch flamingos all day. It is a nice zoo, but certainly not the "best". It's a good way to spend a down day.

I always enjoy a walk around this zoo to see all the animals. I live a block away. Our family are members. The new reptile house is fascinating, and the Pandas are always enetrtaining

It was a good time, enjoyed the fellowship with family. Enjoyed the little ones looking and reacting to the animals.

We took our 2 year old to the Atlanta zoo to see elephants and he was so excited when we saw them. This zoo is really nice and just big enough to have everything you could want to see at a zoo. It's not overwhelmingly big. We went just before the giant panda twins were leave (they are going to... More

It was a breezy cool day that we went... The admission people were very courteous and enjoyable. The Zoo is really nice. Some animals were not out due to the temperature that day. Some concessions were open some were not. We missed seeing the Pandas but we plan to return in the spring next year to see more. There is... More

We came here this past Sunday. It was fun! Most of the animals were out. They have a large variety of animals. The train was fun. My son loved it!
