Overview
More
This extraordinary zoo, one of the oldest in the U.S., underwent a multi-million dollar renovation in the 1980s and is still expanding. Its landscaping replicates the natural habitats of the numerous animals, some of which are endangered species. Four panda bears from China delight the crowds, and groups of gorillas separated by moats do their own share of entertaining.

Like most zoos expect tons of children and school busses. The zoo is small and usually very crowded. There is lots of parking and it’s centrally located. I suggest bringing your own water and snacks as these get very costly. The food is not good...More

Great family destination. Just the right size, not too big or small. Gorillas were not out when we were there but we still saw a lot and had a great time. Great family value for a large family as well.

Thank you for visiting Zoo Atlanta and taking the time to leave a review. The gorillas were not out as they were getting a new roof on their enclosure and it would have been dangerous for them. We do hope you reconsider on your next...More

The animals have fair about of room and I believe they are working to expand the enclosures. The rides are a nice addition as well.
