Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Pass on this. My son who lives in Atlanta was eager to show us this unique part of Atlanta. However, unless you have a bladder of steel, go somewhere more civilized that has the basic necessities to offer like BATHROOMS. We had dined at Six Feet Under (which I DO recommend) prior to arriving at Little 5 Points. With a full bladder from all the tasty tea I'd consumed, I found no businesses allow the use of their restrooms. Atlanta and Little 5 Points, you can DO BETTER for your out of town patrons. I refuse to pour my hard-earned money into a place/area that won't provide me with the dignity of having available facilities. Honestly it's just gross and disrespectful. I took my $$ and business elsewhere.

We were expecting so much more so was very disappointed. We were there at 1030a which was before any stores even opened. 11 and 12 were store opening times, so had a coffee and waited. There were maybe 10 stores; gems and crystals, a large vintage clothing store, vinyl record shop but the one we were excited for was The Junkmans Daughter. Because we thought it was a junk, antique store but it’s geared to a younger generation than us. Incense, puzzles, goth wear. I would not recommend if you are upwards of 40+ years old. BUT, definitely make sure you eat a meal at The Folk Art Cafe! Unique items on the menu, friendly staff and yummy food.

Maybe it was the time of year, but there was not much to sing about here. I had been here so many times and loved this area when I lived in Athens, but it seems like things are sliding backwards...could it be COVID or general societal malaise? Not sure...one highlight was RagORama...my son loved it!

We were terrified to go In and eat. We managed to get out of the car and wished we had just went ahead and drove away. The music in the pizza place was HORRENDOUS. Mostly it made me feel like I should jump off a bridge. They must have wanted us to leave. The moment we laughed, the volume went up 🙄. We waited forever for room temperature, mediocre pizza. Got out to our car to see that it had been broken into. 😭. I wouldn’t suggest it at all.

Great shopping! Lots of local artists and small businesses here. Even found some great thrift shops. There’s a tavern, pizza shop and 2 great vegan restaurants. Oh and Starbucks is on the corner! Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. My favorite shop was Junkyards Daughter, lots of great novelty gifts!

Little Five Points is a great and welcoming place to visit. Unique and unusual people. But there is a viper hiding in the Atlanta Pot Store. Avoid them unless you like violent threatening racists.

When I read the other review on here, I was hesitant to go to L5P (which, by the way, is not near Five Points itself in Downtown Atlanta, it's about 5-10 miles to the east). I expected dirty, dingy, tons of panhandlers (there were a couple, but in what city is that not true?), and nothing of interest. What I found was a compact, vibrant neighborhood with great restaurants (including a nice Indian restaurant, Calcutta) and a good night life scene if you want to avoid loud, big-city dance clubs with $10 drinks and just want to drink and talk with friends, shoot pool or darts, or people watch.

Definitely worth the trip, a $10 cab ride from the Georgia Dome.

We were just passing though, on our way to somewhere else, but our visitors, from Eastern Europe asked, "What's This?" I said "Little 5 Points, sort of like a slice of the hippie 60's in present day." And they had to see it. I live close to L5P. as we in the neighborhood call it, but rarely go there these days, so it was a whole new experience for me, too.

This area has gone through many transformations over the years, but as a unique locale for shopping, food, entertainment and the arts, it has existed for almost 45 years because the people who brought it back from ruin planned it with the intention of encouraging the creative residents of Atlanta to work, play and live in and near L5P.

There are several venues for theater and live music that are always packed, bars, restaurants, but the shops are what are the most unique. The Junkman's Daughter is a large shop full of what I would call novelty clothing, nick knacks, trinkets, costumes and art work. You could definitely spend a couple hours there looking at everything.

Rag-O-Rama is the mecca of hip, used clothes at good prices. A huge variety of clothing for men, women and children that is appealing in color, fabric and design. There are other, equally as wonderful 2nd hand clothes stores here including Psycho Sisters.

Restaurants include The Vortex, whose hamburgers are rated some of the best in the country. Also check out The Porter Beer Bar, with great beer and bar food.

Criminal Records is one of several music sources with new and used CDs and LPs.

Other notable eateries and shops are Outback Bikes for athletic, outdoor wear and American Apparel for high priced, skimpy American made clothing. Other small, original clothing shops I didn't actually go into have original clothes that will appeal to young women with good figures.

Little 5 Points also features one of the first organic food co-ops in Atlanta, Sevananda, and the Little 5 Points Center for Arts and Community, which houses venues for live theater, community radio, and artists studios and organizations.

Charis Bookstore is a gathering place for women, and just around the corner is the Brewhouse Cafe, a gathering place for great outdoor eating.

I could go on and on. No matter what your age or inclination, cultural interests or food cravings, you'll find something you'll enjoy in Little 5 Points. My Eastern European visitors certainly did.

Nothing there of value or for a learning experience. Don't go there alone. Why is this a significant sight I don't know.
