Was never a fan of the man but SO has a thing for Presidential libraries. I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. I came away with a bit more respect for our former President. The surroundings are pleasant and parking is plentiful. An interesting 2 hours.

Wow! I am not a museum/library fan, but this is worth the trip. I learned so much about President Carter during this visit and the way they have this organized is great. The outside is gorgeous and very well maintained and the staff is so helpful. They offer a military discount as well so be sure to ask. They have... More

No matter how you feel about the presidency of Jimmy Carter, the library and museum are very well presented. There are a couple areas where short movies are shown. It was interesting to follow his life, but the most impressive is his contribution to the world since his presidency. He is the ultimate humanitarian, giving an enormous amount of his... More

I was pleasantly surprised by the Jimmy Carter Library and Museum. I went on a garden tour in September (and really not much to see there) and instead took a tour of the library and museum instead. I'm not a Georgia native so it's the first time I've visited. I loved seeing and reading the history in the museum of... More

This was not my first presidential library and museum to visit, so I was wondering why there did not seem to be as much stuff but then I remembered that he had only been a one term president. However, there was plenty of things to see and things to learn regarding his presidency. Some of the highlights for me were... More

We have participated in evenings with the Carters, a lecture, and a book signing. Always informative, well organized, and relevant. Easy access, great parking and lovely setting.

Jimmy Carter is a wonderful role model, and deserves more credit for his moral leadership in a world that really needed it (and still does). The Carter Center still works to mediate conflicts, and the museum does an adequate story of Carter's life, but it glosses some controversial parts. The full-size replica of the Oval Office is a highlight.

The is an excellent Presidential Library. I learned why former President Carter left the Navy and why he went into politics. I left understanding more about the man and feeling thankful he is in the world at the same time I had.
