First timer, great experience
Aug 2018 • Couples
This was my first time indoor rock climbing. Since then I’ve been to other gyms but none compare to Stone Summit. The bouldering area is pretty great.

My friend and I are not belay certified but we used the automatic belay (orange triangle) and felt very confident scaling the wall.

Friendly staff, fun to climb and fun to watch the pros do it too!

Really good place to climb but.....use the locker or bring a lock with you
Jun 2017
This climbing center is AWESOME. There are so many different grades to climb that all the people from the beginner to the super expert can enjoy the climbing. Just one advice: lock your valuable in the locker or, if you bring your own lock, you can lock them in the changing room. I had a bad experience: I was taking a shower and I left my backpack in a not locked, but closed, cabinet and $80 just disappeared from my wallet.

Best Place to Learn, Best Place to Advance

This place is an amazing experience for people of all ages. Even if you have never climbed! I recommend that you sign up for a Belay Class ASAP as they only have about a dozen auto-belay climbs. The Belay Class is approximately equal to the regular cost of admission and includes all day climbing.

Not a disappointment!
May 2017 • Family
It's a great place to get your money's worth for a full day of fun. I have been climbing a few months now, and I haven't exhausted all the routes. They change it very frequently and the gym is quite vast in size. I have only been to one other climbing gym, and Stone Summit is compared far better than the other. The fee is quite reasonable, especially what you get for it, which is quite a lot. The fee comes with gear rentals, including shoes, chalk and rope (if you're leading). If you're in town and has no one to belay you, as the front desk to sign you up for a partner. Or you could just boulder solo and ask someone at the boulder area if they want to climb with you (that's how I met my climbing partner). The climb is addicting, so be prepared to allocate time in your schedule for it. I have had my children's birthday parties there and I host many of my son's and his friends climb there. It is a great activity for kids and adults of all ages. You will not be disappointed!

LOW LEVEL CLIMBERS HINDERED
Apr 2017 • Family
Repeat visit with my grandkids. Very large facility, friendly staff. The negative is that they have reduced the self belay climbs and they are the shortest. There is no staff even on weekdays to belay the kids. To belay you must take a course and be certified. This severely downgrades the enjoyment of climbers that do not have a belay certified person in their climbing group. A VERY LARGE NEGATIVE FOR BEGINNER CLIMBERS. Would have been willing to pay a belay staff person. Recommend, Hope this helps.

Great equipment and helpful staff. We were there to watch our relatives climb. They climb all over both indoors and in nature and they loved this place! 5 stars!

Great experience for first time climber

Decided on a staff-assisted climb since I has no experience. Scheduling and check-in was easy. Jacob (staff) was enthusiastic , very patient and offered excellent coaching instructions during the climb. Looking forward to doing this again.

Great exercise and lot of fun!

First time rock climbing and it was awesome! This place has something for everyone. I have never done rock climbing before but they made it easy and fun to learn and enjoy. I saw kids and adults of all ages and all levels out there. They label the walls so it makes it easy to find out what walls will be easier or harder. I definitely recommend it to anyone who just has some time to kill or is looking for something to do on a boring afternoon!

Best rock climbing gym in ATL.

Stone Summit is an amazing rock climbing facility, with programs for every age group. My youngest children (ages 4 & 56) love to go upstairs and use the smaller climbing wall to get their energy out. My teens (14 & 15) work together in the main climbing area, and I always feel that they are safe due to the belay classes they've taken in order to be able to climb on their own. They also offer fitness classes and a machine exercise area (treadmills and so forth) that are available to use whenever the gym is open. The cafe is great, and offers mostly healthy food choices which I find excellent for a rock climbing facility. Can't recommend the smoothies enough...delicious.

Stone summit was a great experience. I love to climb and I had a blast! You can do all levels of climbing. They have advanced walls to a variate of easier walls for not as hard walls. I love to climb so you need to be an athletic person to enjoy stone summit. I loved stone summit and you will to!
