Overview

More
The museum features a display on the history of money; interactive, multimedia exhibits explaining the Federal Reserve's role in the economy; and a view of the bank's automated vault and cash processing areas. In addition, most group tours include a stop in the bank's boardroom. A tour of the museum provides in-depth lessons on the role of the Federal Reserve in the U.S. economy. Then, you can take a look inside our cash-processing operations, where millions of dollars are counted, sorted, or shredded daily. You'll also get a glimpse into the bank's automated vault and see the robotic transports that do the heavy lifting.

Best tour guides in the world!!! If you love banking, money, history, or just great architecture, do a tour of the Fed.

Free. Who really knows what the Fed does. Well, after the visit to the museum, you will know more. The rooms and robots ferrying vast quantities of money will interest all

This little detour in my day was surprisingly entertaining as well as educational. I knew I would learn things about the Federal Reserve. I did not know it would be so much fun. Actually seeing employees bundling money and watching the automated moving of money...More

I had a great time looking at the history and learning about how The Fed shaped the economy of today. My only suggestion is some kind of gift shop where you can buy some fun gifts since we're from out of town. I liked seeing...More

Find yourself with a free hour in Midtown, on a weekday between 9am and 4pm? The Federal Reserve Bank at 10th and Peachtree has a very interesting "Money Museum" that fits the hour slot perfectly. Ironically for a money museum, it is free (I suppose...More

Visited this place a few years ago with my family after reading the reviews on TripAdvisor. We went with modest expectations, but ended up spending more time here than we planned. It's a good tour and worth the visit, if you're in the area.

Yes. There are machines that count the $ under human supervision and robots that take the money into the vaults (no access). I would call first to make sure they are receiving visitors or go on their web site. Holidays can... More
