Our family attended a group fieldtrip with a total of 12 boys and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Our tour guide (Deon) was quite knowledgeable and kept the boys engaged. Our guided tour lasted approximately 2 hrs and then we explored other parts of the museum/hangar as well as the HUGE 747 plane.

Being a high frequent flyer I have developed somewhat of a passion for the the airline industry. Whilst staying at the Renaissance I noticed a huge 747 parked outside the Delta Worldwide HQ, when driving there it became clear it is part of the Delta Museum. I entered after going through the security gate and at the main entrance of... More

If you like planes, you'll want to go there. Delta did a great job with their museum. I don't fly Delta, but was in Atlanta for a wedding. On the day we went there was a volunteer pilot, who walked us around and educated us. YOu'll see and get to board a 767 and 747 plane. They also have a... More

Gather friends or family and go experience something different. If you like airplane, Delta or industrial history, you will like this. It is a museum but it is different. Kids would certainly enjoy it too.

We took our two grandsons (ages 4 1/2 and 6) to the Delta Flight Museum and they loved it! They had the best time exploring the 747, which a new addition to the museum. They marveled at the size of the engines and tires. They liked looking at all the controls in the cockpit and sitting in the navigator's seat.... More

If you like airplanes, buddy, this is for YOU! Delta Air Lines not only makes a great commitment to its passengers, they've capture their own history for all to see! They've also just opened their new 747-400 exhibit. The very 1st 747-400 delivered to the airlines in 1989. Flown enough miles to make it to the moon and back hundreds... More

The Delta Flight Museum is a really great way to spend an hour or two. There are several models of old propeller plans dating back to the 1930s. There are tons of displays of pilot flight schedules, old passenger chairs, flight attendant uniforms, pictures, mail, etc...There is also a 747 and 767 that allows inside access. You can see the... If you love airplanes you will love the Delta Flight Museum. I fit that description and this was on my bucket list ever since I heard about it, so I used a trip where I flew to ATL and rented a car to get to my destination to visit. However, I might not bring family who are less enamored of... More

My only regret is that I didn't allow enough time for the Delta Flight Museum. They offer great exhibits on the history of commercial flight from the 1920s to the present. The focus is on Delta and the airlines that it has absorbed over the years (somehow Pan Am and it's important history to commercial aviation is downplayed). The museum... More
