Interesting Displays and Information

Enjoyed the time spent here. There are small displays featuring Dr. and Mrs. King, Mahatma Gandhi and Rosa Parks. A good complement to the museum and other sites in the area.

I waited many years to see this memorial site. It lived up to my expectations. Seeing his gave broke my heart in many ways. There is a peace here and a kind spirit to match. Please respect the area and not talk on cell phones. The eternal flame is there as well. The museum is in the area too. Featuring... More

Loved visiting The King Center and so appreciate of his family that allowed so many personal items to be on display. You're able to see such items as clothing items from MLK's traveling suitcase and his church robe. There's also a room dedicated to Mrs. King and a homage to Rosa Parks and Ghandi! Loved it and would definitely recommend.... More

The tour was awesome. Seeing his tomb made you feel like you experienced some of the things he went through. The group of kids we took with us enjoyed it and each wrote a report about their experience.

Nice for family. In the vicinity of Ebenezer Baptist Church, onsite Marta vintage bus, other historical homes, the memorial center for Dr. King Jr and his wife, the sidewalk of fame etc.

As a kid I lived in New Orleans in the 60's. I have a vague recollection of incidents, but from my parents I have heard how they chose for me to be in kindergarten and school with mixed races, and how this was frowned upon by the (white) expat community we were a part of. So this was my back... More

The last time I was in Atlanta this center was not as developed as it is now. It is even more attracting and revealing of the legacy and mission that Dr. King fought for. There are many groups touring and taking pictures but it still has a very impactful sense of exactly what his mission was. Not a commercialized feeling.... More

At the entrance you will see a long reflecting pool and the tombs of MLK and his wife at the middle of it. The museum is free and informative on MLK jr's life and legacy.
