If you are in Granada this is a must see part. It is aprox. 1 hour driving up to the hill, but at 3000m the view is amazing and in the middle of the summer you can find snow also.

The views were well worth the hour drive from Grenada. The mountain is the third highest peak in Spain, and also the highest paved road in Europe - the summit is 3395 meters. Access by car toward the top can be limited due to snow so check before making the trip. Be mindful that this is one of the great cycling challenges in Europe so plan to see bikers along the way.
