The North Bridge represents a powerful symbol of the founding of the country in a splendid setting by the Concord River. Nearby plaques provide some elaboration of the historical events by the bridge.

By the rude bridge that arched the flood, Their flag to April’s breeze unfurled, Here once the embattled farmers stood And fired the shot heard round the world. The foe long since in silence slept; Alike the conqueror silent sleeps; And Time the ruined bridge...More

It was here the "shot heard round the world" was fired. There's not a ton to see, but standing at the Old North Bridge is well worth the stop. There's also a brief 8 min video at the Visitor's Center that puts things in context...More

No matter how jaded you might be about your high school history classes, this place grabs you. Everything is so CLOSE. The fighting was so eye-to-eye.

Great video to start and a great path to walk across the famous bridge. Really is a must see for any american especially if you love History. The Rangers are amazing and tours from other people are given for a fee.

Well worth the visit and walk to it and as has been said before, not the original bridge but a historic reproduction on the actual site. Informative monuments and panels dot the area and go far in explaining this incident, even to the non-history minded...More

Even though this isn't the original bridge. The setting is the same as it was in 1775. Great park and visitor center.

Informative videos and nice visitor center. Beautiful area to visit when it's a nice weather. We asked a ranger for explanations and he was extremely nice and knowledgeable.
