Amazing little village, a place to go and visit to go back in time and imagine how life was before. The place is really well kept, clean well restored. With an amazing restaurant that only opened recently but is well worth a visit as well. The name is El Borinot. Don’t hesitate the food was just amazing !!!

A wonderful and fairytale Middle Age village. It was like a time traveling in a different era. It was free to park and to visit it. We really loved it.

This honey stone village is inland but worth the detour. Everywhere you find carefully managed buildings and plants on small streets, and the view at the top is worth the steep climb.

Twee village with some nice shops.
It lost a few stars for overflowing waste bins and filthy public toilets.
Free parking after 15th September.

A charming hill town on the Costa Brava that makes a nice day trip from Barcelona. I loved walking the well preserved streets with friends, and climbing the watchtower for a view of the surrounding countryside. However, they could do a better job of presenting the history of the people who lived here over the centuries. It’s a nice looking town that must have a story to tell. Also, keep an eye on the time. If you are a few minutes late getting back to your car in the paid parking, you’ll be greeted with a parking ticket and fine.

First time visit and we were directed to a pay car park. It was the only place you could park at. Was 8.30pm. Pay machines in the car park had no details of the times. As was late in the evening, we thought we didn't have to pay. Normally in Spain it's free after 8pm. Returned to car at 9.30pm to find a fine on our window. The warden was still there. We remonstrated that there was no signage regarding the hours in which you needed to pay. He was very rude and said that you needed to pay up to 10.30pm. He said the local council had made it like this some years ago as if we should have known. I told him.it was our first visit there, to which he just laughed and said it was a nice present to receive on our first visit. Won't be returning. What a scam. Village is nice and worth a look but I'd say many people get caught with parking fines.

We visited 3 medieval towns/villages and this was by far our favorite. We hadn't heard of it so fortunately our driver/guide recommended it. Walking through it was such a treat - around every corner was a postcard view and we had some great food. We're thinking of going back to stay a couple nights next time.

This is an exquisite little medieval town where I felt l had stepped back in time. Narrow alleys leading to bright squares, flowers tumbling out of walls, bumpy and uneven cobbled streets...Peratallada has it all. There are some beautiful shops, cafés and restaurants here too. Climb the clock tower near the castle free of charge to enjoy the views over the town and to see as far as the sea and the Medes islands. Peratallada captured my heart.

The medieval village of Peratallada is in a beautiful, rural area and is a stunningly attractive village. With its narrow, cobbled streets it is a magnet for tourists, but after the day trippers have left, it takes on a wonderfully peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. From a practical perspective it has ample car parking and there are several restaurants, tourist shops and places to stay.

We’ve stayed here twice now and it is definitely one of our favourite places in Spain.
