This is literally the best museum I have ever been to, nothing like endless boring paintings that cost millions. Every single miniature is so fascinating. The small village of Besalu is such a lovely place too, it's one of the most charming and romantic places I have seen. You will not regret it!

Miniature pieces of fine art as you have never seen them before and some only able to be witnessed through a microscope. A wonderful wonderland in miniature.

Matthew Verses 19-24 state that it is easier for a camel to go through an eye of a needle than a rich man to enter heaven. Well, rich people fear no longer, for there is one exhibit here in this amazing museum that depicts 13 tiny camels and three tiny wise men in the eye of a needle! What an... More

An enjoyable and unusual exhibition. The exhibits within the eye of a needle were almost unbelievable, and the miniature room exhibits were charming.

One of the best small museums I have ever visited, this places offers several dozen of miniatures and micro-miniatures that are simply fascinating. Besalu is a gorgeous little town that you want to walk around, but set aside 30 minutes and come inside to this great museum.

Although only a small museum it is well worth a visit. All the exhibits have magnifying lenses over them so that you can view them in detail. I would have liked to have seen something that explained who had made the items and how. It also went through my mind, not only how were the exhibits made but what inspires... More

It may only be three rooms but each is filled with mind boggling art works which leave you wondering as to how anyone can possibly have hands so controled that they can produce these marvels. Worth every cent of the entry fee.

We chanced across the museum while visiting Besalu, which is a stunning medieval town. The town is well worth visiting and has some lovely shops restaurants and bars.
