A large and interesting model of railroad, towns, including circus, zoo, farms and so so on. A lot of tiny details. Made with humor and love. You walking around the model several times and every round you find something new and fun.

We came here on a rainy day with two kids under 9 years. They were amused by the details and there was much to see, and take in. The weird thing is that it is a slice of America but in a mix n' match sort of way. Things are not consistently from the same time in the same scenes... More

Great place to visit to see a miniature exhibit of the railroads in the local area if you are a model railroad fan.

We visited the Saturday of Father's Day weekend. It wasn't very busy and the layouts had a lot of detail. Even our adult daughter enjoyed it. Children would enjoy it too, especially boys. Baby boomers will enjoy the nostalgia and memories that it brings back! Well worth an hour or two of your time!

Every review for this place is right on the money. Roads and Rails really is enjoyable. I was blown away by the detail and the amount of work that went into building the exhibits. We live just about 30 minutes from Frederick...so, not a far drive. I wouldn't have been thrilled with a longer drive for this display. This mama... More

Lots of action and pop culture references in this huge model trains and towns display. Have driven by this unassuming building for years - glad we finally made a visit. So much to see! Had a blast with the scavenger activity! Friendly helpful staff. Will definitely go back.

This is more of a train set up/display than a museum. The men have done some very impressive work on the elements and scenes...very enthralling for someone who enjoys a lot of detail and of course trains! there is also a Lego room which a disappointment for our son...we thought it would be a room where he could build with... Great for boys and girls, our daughter loves it and we have been to birthday parties there and the kids love it! Scavenger hunts for older kids and grandparents have as much fun as the little kids!
