AT trail is accessible at the top overlook area. Some short but strenuous trails about midway up the road. Camping area with small pond. Best thing are the overlooks on a clear day and history of the park

We enjoy camping in the great outdoors. This is not it. We went here because it was close to work and we could get out and set up quickly for a quiet weekend in the woods. I would describe the camping spots similar to camping...More

Nice hiking trails with great views. Unfortunately, just a little to close to Dulles airport flight patterns and I70 traffic noise.

Minutes from downtown Frederick, affords great hiking mountain biking and beautiful campsites. Restrooms are clean and it's pet friendly. A little piece of heaven just 20 minutes out of town.

It was a really clear day, so I took my friend up to the overlook and wasn't disappointed. It is so beautiful there. It's a shame that people continue to vandalize that area, but the park service does a great job keeping it clean. The...More

Sorry for delay. I did a drive through the sites yesterday. #16 is one of the larger sites and is a pull through. Very nice. I don't drive an rv, but it looks like a 22 wouldn't be a problem
